Miley Cyrus

In a PEOPLE.com poll, 77 percent of around 70,000 respondents labeled the Annie Leibovitz photos "inappropriate for a 15-year-old" compared with 23 percent who found them "appropriate."

As a children's director I work with kids all time and there is no mistaking the fact that Miley Cyrus is a huge deal to kids across the country. I can say that Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montanna is the hottest thing around. The girls love her and the guys think she is a bad singer. She has two songs on Radio Disney in the top five, her song "see you again" is number 15 on iTunes right now. Whatever you think about her one thing is for sure, she has captured the attention of millions of kids across America.

The big question now is, who will she turn out to be?

  1. I think that she will turn out much the same as any of these girls constantly pushed into fame and the way of this world. Every American girl feels pressure to be a certain kind of beautiful, this pressure is worse for famous American girls. The hope is that she realizes that this was the wrong direction for her image and that she is worth more than just a pretty face or body!

  2. One would like to think that maybe it will be different with this celebrity. I'm mostly disappointed with her dad. He knows the business and he should have been there to protect her. It's been a great teaching moment with my daughter though, and it's always easier to learn from other people's mistakes. :) Nice job being the children's director Joshua Richard!
