Mike Krzyzewski - Leading With Trust

Here is the deal, I'm not a huge college basketball fan, but when I came across this article it intrigued me.

Let's be honest, there are a lot of character traits that leaders have to have in order to lead well and win, but maybe the most important trait of all is TRUST.

Duke’s coach Mike Krzyzewski knows a thing or two about winning when it counts.
After setting the all-time wins record in November 2011,coach  K was asked this question:

"What’s the single most important characteristic for a coach to have to achieve the things you’ve achieved?”

“I think you have to be trustworthy. You have to take the time to develop a relationship that’s so strong with each individual player, and hopefully with the team, that they will trust you. They let you in, and if they let you in, you can teach. If they don’t let you in, you’re never going to get there.”
The same principle applies to leaders in any organization. In order to achieve success, you have to take the time to establish meaningful, trust-based relationships with your team members.

If success is going to be achieved coach K says TRUST has to be developed.
