So we have a 5-1 lead heading into the eighth inning only to see it disappear very quickly. We actually lose the game 6-5. Our bullpen blew it for us. Gavin Floyd was amazing today. He did not have his best stuff but still battled every step of the way. Instead of being 5-5 he is stuck at 4-5.
So instead of sweeping the Cubs at Wrigley we take the split. This one stings a bit because we should have one it pretty easily. This is why I love this game. This can happen to any team on any given day. You never know.
On to Cincinnati to play the Reds. Go Sox!
